The Cat's Code Reflection

The title of the book points to a somewhat unexpected — yet truly brilliant — idea: the cat as a mentor in business and in life. At first, it may sound unusual, but the more you read, the more it makes perfect sense. Cats follow their innate ability to adapt quickly, their quiet wisdom, and an instinct that never fails… all the very things we, as humans, so often try to override or ignore — and yet cannot, because biology always prevails.

The book is written with remarkable clarity and flow — it reads effortlessly, yet it is not something to be rushed through. Quite the opposite. Alongside a series of well-chosen quotes that further inspire, each chapter concludes with what is perhaps its most valuable element: a summary and exercises that quite literally make you pause, reflect, and confront yourself. As a reader, you have the feeling that you are not alone with the book, but rather in a live session with the author.

Personally, Egli reminded me of several essential truths:

It is okay to walk away — when something no longer feels right, that alone is reason enough.

Rest is not a weakness — it is a biological necessity.

What impressed me most is that, alongside the importance of networking, Egli also introduces an exercise of ‘energetic clearing’ after a series of interactions with others. This is something that is rarely spoken about — yet it truly matters.

This is a book that tells you to start listening to yourself — but unlike many others, it also shows you clearly and concretely how to do it, step by step.

And perhaps that is exactly why it stays with you — long after you close it.
